Superstore is offering customers an online grocery shopping service allowing them to choose and pay for their items and have them delivered to their car as they arrive at the store.

Berwick Independent
Our store delivers within the town of Berwick. If someone is interested in having groceries delivered, they can contact Mary at 902-538-8818 and provide their address and their method of payment. Groceries are delivered Wednesday mornings.
Carl’s Independent Grocer, Wolfville
We take the orders by phone every Tuesday, before noon. Customers usually just read off their grocery list to us and we confirm sizes/brands etc.
Deliveries are then picked up by us at the store on Wednesday morning (the day after ordering) and scanned through the checkout. Then the orders are delivered to the customers, typically by noon (or before).
Orders can be paid for by credit card, cheque or cash. Those who pay by credit card, we keep their card number on file and charge them at the checkout. Those who pay by cheque or cash will give their payment to our delivery driver upon delivery. We call them Wednesday morning ahead of delivery and inform them what their total will be.
We only deliver to folks in Wolfville and there is a small delivery fee of $4 added to their total.

We deliver to seniors in the Town of Kentville. It is a free service, that Jason has been doing for over 25 years. Jason delivers on Wednesdays and we ask that the order be called in no later than Tuesday, by 4:00pm. When the customer calls in their orders, they should ask for Jenn, as she is the one that picks them up and gets them ready for delivery.

Meadowbrook Meat Market, Berwick
Residents of Kings County have a delivery option from Meadowbrook. People can order online meat boxes online from our website www.meadowbrookmeatmarket.com or under the shop, section of our facebook page. The process is as easy as clicking on the photo of the meat box they wish to purchase and entering their credit card information.
They can select either to "pick up" their order at the market or choose "shipping" when they are at the checkout section of their order. If they choose the shipping option there is an additional $5.00 delivery charge, and a minimum order amount of $50.00. If they choose to pick up their order, there is no shipping charged or any minimum order required.
We delivery any home delivery orders on Wednesdays of each week, so we ask that any orders be placed by Monday at 12 noon, as to have time to prepare the order. Orders are delivered between 3 pm and 6 pm on Wednesdays. Should the customer not be at home, we will leave notice that we were there, and the customer will need to make arrangements to come to pick up their order. There would be no refund on the delivery charged, as attempts were made to deliver the product as requested.

Canada Pension Plan
The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) retirement pension provides a monthly benefit to eligible applicants.
• You can apply for and receive a full CPP retirement pension at the age of 65 or receive it as early as the age of 60 with a reduction, or as late as the age of 70 with an increase.
• Standard age to begin receiving CPP retirement pension is when you reach the age of 65, which is the month after your 65th birthday.
• It can also begin the month after your 60th birthday at a reduced amount.
• CPP can be delayed in order to get a higher pension later.

Old Age Security (OAS)
The Old Age Security Program is a pension program through the Government of Canada.
• A monthly payment available to seniors aged 65 and older who meet the Canadian legal status and residence requirements.

1. Guaranteed Income Supplement (live in Canada and have a low income)

Health Equipment Loan Program
The Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP), also known as the Community Bed Loan Program, provides hospital-type beds to eligible Nova Scotians who need specialized beds in their homes.
The program is funded by the Department of Health and Wellness and administered through the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the Canadian Red Cross – Nova Scotia region. The loaned beds are delivered and assembled in the client’s home by the Canadian Red Cross – Nova Scotia Region.
There is no cost for specialized beds through the HELP/ Community Bed Loan Program.

To help seniors live well at home, the province is providing programs and funding. There are a variety of supports, from taking care of daily needs like meal preparation to funding for a personal alert system.

Services at this location:
- Bed Loan Program - loans of home-use hospital beds to Nova Scotia residents with delivery, pick up and installation provided.
- Short Term Health Equipment Loan Program allows people to return home from hospital earlier and gives independence and dignity to those in palliative care. Individuals can receive aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, bath seats, benches, commodes and toilet seats, crutches and canes, bed handles and other durable medical equipment.
Sleep Apnea Machines
The Lung Association of Nova Scotia refurbishes pre-owned Auto CPAP and BiPAP machines. To donate call 1-888-566-5864.
Used machines can also be dropped off at the Hantsport and Kingston Lions Clubs.
Also contact the Lung Association to get a refurbished machine if required.

Wheelchair Community Loan Program
The Seniors Community Wheelchair Loan Program provides new and recycled wheelchairs (manual and/or electric) to eligible residents of Nova Scotia to support them in their homes and communities.
To determine if you qualify for the Seniors Community Wheelchair Loan Program call Continuing Care at the toll-free number, 1-800-225-7225, if you are eligible, an occupational or physiotherapist will arrange a time to meet with you to complete an assessment.
